Workshop for Kicking off the Wastewater Treatment Programme, Lebanon

The two-days workshop is designed to bring together the key stakeholders (e.g. Ministry of Water and Environment, ~20 Municipalities, the North Water Establishment) to gage and map their concerns, perceptions, and give them a platform on which to voice their opinions. The main target of this workshop is to support the implementation of a large wastewater treatment plan and infrastructure for Nahar il Ostwan river basin being developed by ACTED and partners for the refugee hosting communities of Northern Lebanon. The workshop objective is to use the two days to help develop commitment and buy-in to the facilitation approach and overall project objectives and to create momentum for the follow up workshop in January. The outcome of the workshop will also enable the team to understand how to interpret/disseminate to these stakeholders the baseline data developed in the feasibility study during the January workshop.

Date and location: November, tbd (2 days) in Akkar, Lebanon
